Idolatry and True Worship
What words stay with you?
What is your response to God’s written Word today?

Then turn to pray to God in response
Looking again at verses 6 and 10

O LORD our God,
Thank you for all these words
And all they teach me.
Hear my morning prayer
And teach me
To worship you in truth
In Jesus’ name, Amen


Midday

Pray God’s blessing on our Leadership Team at this time
O LORD, give blessing and hear our prayers we ask this day.

Evening
Reading : read this passage again from JEREMIAH 10
Reflect on the words you have read and then pray in response – to this God, our God

LORD God, our God, God of true worship
Hear the evening prayers of your people
For we are indeed in need of rescue from this world
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

The Sign of Immanuel.
What words and images stay with you?
What is God saying to you today about Himself as your day starts?

And then pray in response – to this God of ours

Thank you God for sending Jesus
Thank you Jesus that you came
Holy Spirit
Will you ever teach us more and more
About this lovely wonderful Name!

Pray God’s blessing on those who feel lonely in our community
LORD, hear our prayers and give blessing real good we ask.

Evening
Reading : read these set verses again from ISAIAH 7
Humbly reflect on what you read and then pray in response –
for yourself and for others

LORD God, Father God, hear our many different prayers
As we thank you for sending Jesus, our Immanuel
As we thank you for your call on our lives
As we trust you for our tomorrows

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus

For family and friends and neighbours

For the continued supply of vaccines to all

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and our national leaders at this time of decision making

Thy Kingdom come!
Thy will be done!

O LORD God, have mercy on each and all and hear our prayers this day.

We believe and trust in You and lay ourselves before You.
