Daily Devotions for Wednesday 11th November, 2020

Day of Remembrance

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : GENESIS 21 verse 33

Meditation : consider these particular words this morning.
El Olam. The Everlasting God.
What does it mean for you that God is Eternal?

And then pray in response – to this God of ours

O LORD our God,
El Olam.
Open our eyes
To who you are
Eternal
Everlasting
And forgive us
When we put you in a box.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those mourning at this time
LORD, hear our prayers and comfort them real good we ask.

Evening
Reading : read these set words again from GENESIS 21
Humbly reflect on what you read and then pray in response – for yourself and
for others you have met during this day

LORD God, Everlasting God, hear our many different prayers
As we praise you for who you are
As we name others we are concerned about at this time
As we look ahead to tomorrow
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

As you give thanks – also name others in need known to you

O LORD our God,
These are our morning prayers
In Jesus’ name
Amen and amen

O LORD, hear our prayers and bless them real good we ask.

LORD God, strong God, our God, hear our evening prayers
As we thank you for all you have provided this day

As we name others to you.
In Jesus’ name, Amen
