At this time in your Wednesday and in these changing times you are invited to pause and pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus

For family and friends and neighbours

For Church leaders in our city

For NHS and Care Home staff in our city

For our country and all national leaders at this time

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Three in One

Reading : MATTHEW 6 verses 5-15

Meditation : consider all that is said here as your day starts.
Kingdom praying.
What is your response to God’s written Word today?
What is your Kingdom prayer this morning?

Then turn to pray to God in response….looking again at verses 9-13

In Jesus’ name, Amen

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those in need of knowing God’s peace today
O LORD, have mercy and hear our prayers we ask this day.

Evening
Reading : read this passage again from MATTHEW 6

Reflect on the words you have read and then pray in response – to this God, our God

LORD God, our God, God who hears our prayers,
Hear the evening prayers of your people
For we are indeed in need of rescue from this world
Thy Kingdom come
Thy will be done
On earth in these days
As it is in heaven.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

You are encouraged to pray afresh for all those affected by the coronavirus in our nation and across the world

In particular for our country and our national leaders at this time as they make important decisions regarding the way forward and as we all adjust to the restrictions

Meditation : consider these particular words this morning.
The LORD reigns!
What words and images stay with you?
What is God saying to you today as your day starts about Himself?

And then pray in response – to this God of ours
Looking again at verses 7-10 as you turn to prayer

O LORD our God,
Thy Kingdom come
Thy will be done
In this world we live in
In our nation
In our homes
In Jesus’ name,
Amen and amen!

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on the City Council in our own city
LORD, hear our prayers and bless them real good we ask.

Evening
Reading : read these set verses again from PSALM 96

Humbly reflect on what you read and then pray in response – for yourself and
for others in our world in these days

LORD God, Father God, hear our many different prayers.
We call out afresh – Thy Kingdom come
Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Look again at verse 28 as you turn to prayer

Build your Church, Lord
Make us strong, Lord.

O LORD God, have mercy on each and all and hear our prayers this day.

Reading : read these verses again from JUDGES 16
Reflect on the words…. And then pray to the LORD our God

Hear our evening prayers, O God, as this day ends.
We believe and trust in You and lay ourselves before You.
Forgive us our sins.
Build your Church – make us strong Lord.
