Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Three in One

Reading : JUDGES 2 verses 11-23

Meditation : prayerfully consider these events as you imagine all that happens here.
Israel stops worshipping the LORD.
What words or images stay with you?
Is there something you have stopped doing in your relationship with God?

Then pray in response to this God of ours

O LORD our God,
Forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who have sinned against us
Cleanse us
Renew us
Fill us
Use us
Even today
In Jesus’ name
Amen

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on our Leadership Ministry Team in these days
O LORD, hear our prayers and bless them real good we ask.

Evening
Reading : read the verses again from JUDGES 2
Reflect on the words you read and then pray in response

LORD God, merciful God, our God, hear our evening prayers
As we thank you for all you have provided this day
As we confess our sins
As we receive your forgiveness
As we name those who have wandered from following Jesus

As you consider is this how your life looks at this time?

O LORD our God,
Thank you for these words
And all they teach me.
May we be a people
Who ever seek good and not evil.
O teach us to rest in your good promises
In our lives
In our community
In our world.

O LORD, have mercy on each and all and hear our prayers we ask this day.
