Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the Living God
Reading : MATTHEW 5 verses 1-12
Meditation : take time and slowly consider these words from Jesus again.
Which words stay with you?
How can you put them into practice today?
And then pray to this God – to be His Gospel-messenger today
O LORD God,
God of blessing and wholeness,
God of Gospel-Good News,
Teach us
Help us
Use us – even today.
Thy Kingdom come
Thy will be done
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Midday
Pray for the Church in our land to know Sunday blessings
O LORD, God of mercy, hear our cry and pour out Kingdom blessings!
Evening
Reading : read this passage again
Reflect on how it has applied to your life today …. and then Pray in response
A Celtic Prayer
High King of Heaven,
You stretch out the skies like a curtain
And lower the canopy of gentle night
To cool the heat of the day.
May your peace, velvety and starlit,
Descend
To calm the wild beating of my heart,
That I may be still.
