Thy Kingdom Come #celebrate
As part of God’s Church we have participated in the global prayer venture of Thy Kingdom Come each year. This runs during the 11 days between Ascension and Pentecost…..and this year it will happen May 13th-23rd.
Each Saturday at 12 noon we are continuing to ask and seek and knock on Heaven’s door…..’Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done’…..and to pray for up to 5 people we know to meet with Jesus and to experience God’s Kingdom reign in their lives.
This week we focus on the theme of CELEBRATE as we pause to pray with others.
We are encouraged to take time to bring our words of Celebration to the LORD our God on this second Saturday of a new year. Pause to consider the reasons you have to celebrate – even in these uncertain days
God’s faithfulness and loving kindnesses
Others who are part of your life
Blessings of this past week
Daily Devotions for Saturday 9th January, 2021
Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit
Reading : PSALM 5
Meditation : take time to consider these verses this morning.
A Prayer for Protection.
What does mean for you?
What is God saying to you today about Himself?
And then Pray in response to what you read – to this God of ours.
Look again at verses 7 and 8 as you turn to prayer
In Jesus’ name
Amen and Amen!
Midday
Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your midday prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever
Amen
Evening
Reading : read this Psalm again
Reflect on this God, your God, our God…. and then Call on Him in your evening Prayer
LORD God, our God, receive our praise
For who You are!
For all you have done for us!
For your help and protection even today!
And as we give it all back to you
May you continue to reach and save people
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done across our world
In our community, in our city.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
