Sunday Evening Prayer with Others

As we journey through Lent – with God – together – you may want to revisit today’s Daily Devotions from ROMANS 1 verse 20 – as we consider the Good News of Jesus

We PAUSE with the Lord in prayer

We REJOICE in the blessings He has given this day – to us and to others

We ASK for His presence, peace and strength – for ourselves and for others in our world at this time – especially for meaningful peace between Russia and Ukraine

We YIELD – say Yes – to His Kingdom ways for tomorrow

Pause to Pray for Others

On this Sunday in Lent…as the nation and the world wrestles with the virus and vaccine supplies…and the crisis in Ukraine is a major concern before us in our world … you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to continue to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our community, in our nation and in our world – and for all those in need on our Church Prayer List at this time – and for parts of the world in turmoil at this time

For family and friends and neighbours affected by the coronavirus

For the Church across Europe at this time

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For those who are hurting in body, mind and spirit at this time

Thy Kingdom Come – at Midday

As a Church we were part of the global prayer venture – Thy Kingdom Come.

This prayer continues around the world!
Thy Kingdom Come 2022 prayer venture will be running 26 May – 5 June.

Each Sunday at Midday we will re-visit one of the 11 daily themes….and this time we revisit the last of the children’s videos with the Cheeky Pandas!
This week it is the theme of PENTECOSE

Daily Devotions for Sunday 27th March, 2022

Fourth Sunday of Lent

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the Living God

Reading : ROMANS 1 verse 20

Meditation : take time and consider this verse this particular Sunday morning.
The God we believe and trust in.
What is your response to these words today?

And then pray in response – using the words as you turn to prayer

O God of greatness
We bow before you
We believe in you
Help our unbelief
We trust in you
We offer you our songs of praise
This new day
In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

Midday
Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your midday prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever
Amen

Evening
Reading : read these particular words again from ROMANS 1 verse 20

Reflect on the words and images
And then Pray in response to this God
The God we believe and trust in

O LORD, hear our evening prayers of praise we ask
As we thank you for the blessings of this Sunday
For we believe and trust in you
As we pilgrimage on towards tomorrow
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
