Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit
Reading : ROMANS 1 verse 1
Meditation : as we pause with God we take time to consider these words this morning.
A servant. An apostle. Set apart.
What has God called you to do?
And then Pray in response to what you read – to this God of ours.
Pray for God’s help today for yourself and for another
In Jesus’ name
Amen and Amen
Midday
Pray the Prayer for the Month as your own midday prayer
Thank you Jesus Christ
That you came
From heaven to earth
As God’s perfect sacrifice
Spirit of God
Prompt us
Enable us
To share this Good News
In our family circle
In Liberton
In Edinburgh
In our world
In Jesus’ name
Amen and Amen
Evening
Reading : read ROMANS 1 verse 1 again
Reflect on this God, your God, our God…. and then Call on Him in your evening Prayer
LORD God, our God, receive our praise
For who You are
For your help and guidance even today
And as we give it all back to you
May you continue to reach and save people
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done across our world
In our community, in our city.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Evening Prayer with Others
As we have stepped into Lent – with God – together – you may want to revisit today’s Daily Devotions from LEVITICUS chapter 4 verses 1-21 – as we consider the perfect sacrifice of Jesus
We PAUSE with the Lord in prayer
We REJOICE in the blessings He has given this day
We ASK for His presence, peace and strength – for ourselves and for others in our world at this time
We YIELD – say Yes – to His Kingdom ways for tomorrow
Pause to Pray for Others
On this last day of the week…World Day of Prayer…as the nation and the world wrestles with the virus and vaccine supplies…and the crisis in Ukraine is a major concern before us in our world … you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.
You are encouraged to continue to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our community, in our nation and in our world – and for all those in need on our Church Prayer List at this time – and for parts of the world in turmoil at this time
For family and friends and neighbours
For those striving to find peace between Russia and Ukraine
For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation
For our country and world leaders at this time
World Day of Prayer
On this World Day of Prayer
We turn to the living and true God, our God
We call out to Him
‘Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven’
We seek His blessings for one and all
For the common good of every nation
We lift the name of Jesus higher than any other
As we pray in His name
