Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus, Saviour and Lord

Reading : GENESIS chapter 2 verses 4-25

Meditation : take the time to consider these words again on this new day
Adam
Eve

What is God saying to you from His written Word today?
What is your response?

We can but worship you this day O LORD our Creator
We can but ask for those in need or trouble this day O LORD
As we call out to you for our world in these days
Keep us close to Jesus we ask
In His name we pray, Amen.

Midday
Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day
Ask and seek and knock……and hear
Father God…thank you.

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from GENESIS chapter 2 verses 4-25
Reflect…. and then Pray as your day closes

God of Adam and of Eve and the God of today,
My God, our God,
Hear our evening prayers
As we thank you for your help today
As we journey from today to tomorrow
As we name others we care about before you
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Meditation : consider all that is said here as your day starts.
Right with God.
Adam and Christ Jesus.
What is your response to God’s written Word today?
What words stay with you?

Then turn to pray to God in response

O LORD our God,
Thank you for all these words
And all they teach me about who you are.
Receive my sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving
And help me keep my eyes upward this day
In Jesus’ name, Amen

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on the Church in the Maldives
O LORD, give blessing and hear our prayers we ask this day.

Evening
Reading : read this passage again from ROMANS chapter 5
Reflect on the words you have read and then pray in response – to this God, our God

LORD God, our God,
God who deserves our thanks
Hear the evening prayers of your people
For we are indeed in need of rescue from this world

What images or words stay with you?
What is God teaching/reminding you?

And then Pray to this God of ours in response

Happy are those who have the God of Jacob to help them
and who depend on the LORD their God,
the Creator of heaven, earth, and sea,
and all that is in them.
He always keeps his promises;
He judges in favour of the oppressed
and gives food to the hungry

And so we bring our sacrifice of praise to you, our Creator God Most High.
Amen – we pray together.
