Daily Devotions for Sunday 25th April, 2021

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the Living God

Reading : 1 THESSALONIANS 5 verses 12-24

Meditation : take time and consider these words from Paul on this particular Sunday morning.
What do they mean for you today?
What is God teaching you from His written Word?

And then pray in response to our God

O God of grace and mercy and love
We bow before you
We believe in you
We trust in you
We lift our Sunday prayers to you
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Midday
Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your own midday prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever
Amen

Evening
Reading : read these particular verses again from 1 THESSALONIANS 5
Reflect on the words written here and then Pray in response to this God, our God

O LORD, hear our evening prayers we ask
As we thank you for the blessings of this Sunday
As we believe and trust in you
As we pilgrimage on into this new week
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thy Kingdom Come #Jesus

As part of God’s Church we have participated in the global prayer venture of Thy Kingdom Come each year. This runs during the 11 days between Ascension and Pentecost…..and this year it will happen May 13th-23rd.
You are invited to be a part of this.
You are encouraged to plan ahead in preparation.
More information will soon be shared from the Prayer Team.

Each Saturday at 12 noon we are continuing to ask and seek and knock on Heaven’s door…..’Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done’…..and to pray for up to 5 people we know to meet with Jesus and to experience God’s Kingdom reign in their lives. Who is on your list?

This week we focus on the theme of JESUS as we pause to pray with others.

We are encouraged to pause and take time with the LORD our God on this particular Saturday in April 2021.

To cry out for those on our list to meet with Jesus and have a Kingdom-changing-experience.

To ask…..seek…..knock…..wait…..

Thy Kingdom Come O God!
Give saving grace we ask!
