Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Father God

Reading : JOHN 14 verses 25-27

Meditation : take time and consider what is said here – as your day starts.
The Counsellor, the Holy Spirit.
What does the Holy Spirit mean to you in your daily living?
How is He your Counsellor?

And then pray in response as your day starts

(Pray your own words to the LORD God
In worship and thanks for what you have read,
In confession and need to receive from Jesus,
And for others known to you at this time in a hard place.)

We ask together in Jesus’ name.
Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those who work in the Scottish Parliament in these days
O LORD, hear our prayers and pour out a blessing we ask on each and all

Evening
Reading : read the verses again from JOHN 14
Reflect on these words again at the end of your day
and Pray in response to this Jesus, our Lord

O living Lord Jesus,
hear our evening prayers as we thank You for Your call on our lives.
Oh have mercy we ask
On others
On our Church
On our world
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Three in One

Reading : JOHN 14 verses 22-24

Meditation : consider what is said here by Judas and Jesus as your day starts.
How would you describe your relationship with Jesus at this time?
What is your response to God’s written Word today?

Then turn to pray to God in response….looking again at verse 23

O LORD our God,
Father
Son
And Holy Spirit
Help us
Teach us
To love you
As we ought
In Jesus’ name, Amen

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on the City Council in our city at this time
O LORD, have mercy and hear our prayers we ask this day.

Evening
Reading : read this passage again from JOHN 14
Reflect on the words you have read and then pray in response – to this God, our God

LORD God, our God, God of perfect love, hear the evening prayers of your people
For we are indeed in need of your help in this world
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
