Daily Devotions for Tuesday 5th April, 2022

Upper Room day – time-out with God

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus, Saviour and Lord

Reading : LEVITICUS 25 verses 35-38

Meditation : take time and consider this part of the Bible this morning.
Blessings and Judgment
What do the words mean to you at this time?

Take time to Pray in response – including for others known to you in need at this time

We can but worship you this day O LORD
Teach us your ways
We can but ask for those in need or trouble this day O LORD
Give blessing we ask
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Midday
Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day
Ask and seek and knock……and hear
Father God…thank you.

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from LEVITICUS 25
Reflect…. and then Pray as your day closes

God of yesteryear and the God of today,
The God of strong love
The God of eternal faithfulness
My God, our God,
Hear our evening prayers
As we thank you for your help today
As we journey from today to tomorrow
As we name others we care about before you
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Pause to Pray for Others

On this Monday in Lent…as the nation and the world wrestles with the crisis in Ukraine – a major concern before us at this time… you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to continue to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our community, in our nation and in our world, where many are still waiting for vaccine supplies – and for all those in need on our Church Prayer List at this time – and for parts of the world in turmoil at this time

For family and friends and neighbours affected by the coronavirus

For world leaders at this time

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For those who are feeling anxious about health matters at this time
