Pause to Pray for Others

On this Palm Sunday…as the nation and the world wrestles with the crisis in Ukraine – a major concern before us at this time… you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to continue to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our community, in our nation and in our world, where many are still waiting for vaccine supplies – and for all those in need on our Church Prayer List at this time – and for parts of the world in turmoil at this time

For family and friends and neighbours

For Church leaders across the world at this time

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For those who are feeling anxious about others at this time

Thy Kingdom Come – at Midday

As a Church we were part of the global prayer venture – Thy Kingdom Come.

This prayer continues around the world!
Thy Kingdom Come 2022 prayer venture will be running 26 May – 5 June.

Each Sunday at Midday we are re-visiting one of the 11 daily themes….and this time we revisit the second theme of PRAISEas we are encouraged to bring our songs and words of praise to the Living God with a song we have come to love!

Daily Devotions for Sunday 10th April, 2022

Palm Sunday

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the Living God

Reading : ROMANS 5 verse 2

Meditation : take time to consider these words on this Sunday.
Access by Faith.
What is God teaching/reminding you this morning?
Where is your faith in God on a scale at this time?

And then pray in response,
Naming others known to you at a distance from God at this time
Asking Him to bring them back

In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Midday
Pray the Prayer for the Month as your own midday prayer

When I survey the wondrous cross
Praise the name of Jesus!

For God so loved the world
How deep the Father’s love!

There is a Redeemer, God’s own Son
Thank you, O my Father!

Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast
Save in the death of Christ my God

When I stand in glory
I will see his face,
And there I’ll serve my King for ever
In that holy place.

Amen and Amen!

Evening

Reading : read these words again from ROMANS 5 verse 2
Reflect on the words and then Pray in response at the end of your day

O LORD, our God,
We bring our evening sacrifice of praise to you
For who you are
As we acknowledge You our Help even this day.
As we name others in need
As we pray for the Church in all corners of our world
To sing and speak of Jesus.
In His saving name, Amen.

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : ROMANS 5 verse 1

Meditation : take time to consider these great words this morning.
Peace with God.
What encourages and challenges you today?
What is God saying to you from His Word?

And then Pray in response

O LORD
I look up to you,
Up to heaven, where you rule.

Hear my grateful morning prayer
Hear the morning prayers of your people

In Jesus’ name.
Amen

Midday
Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your midday prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever
Amen
