Daily Devotions for Saturday 30th March, 2024

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : 1 CORINTHIANS 15 verses 1-11
Meditation: as we pause with Jesus today we take time to consider these verses
The Resurrection of Christ

And then we take time to Pray in response to this God
Giving thanks!

O LORD our God
Resurrection power God
Amen we praise and pray together this new day.

Midday
Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your own midday prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever
Amen

Evening
Reading : read the verses again from 1 CORINTHIANS 15 verses 1-11
Reflect on the truths behind the words…. and then Pray in response to what you have read
For yourself and for others doubting over this Jesus

Examine me, O God, and know my mind;
test me, and discover my thoughts.
Find out if there is any evil in me
and guide me in the everlasting way

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : ROMANS 8 verses 18-39
Meditation : take time and consider all that is said here.
Future glory!
The Spirit helps us
God’s Love

And then pray in response – as your day starts
Giving thanks for this great hope, the Holy Spirit and God’s perfect Love
Naming others in a place of hopelessness at the moment

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on our family and friends
Father God, hear our prayers and bless them all real good we ask

Evening
Reading : read these words again from ROMANS 8 verses 18-39 – in another version?
Reflect on the words and images here and pray in response to this God
Father, Son and Holy Spirit

O LORD, hear our evening prayers
As we return our thanks to you
For all you have done for us
We believe in this great hope
Help our unbelief through our struggles
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
