Daily Devotions for Good Friday, April 10th 2020

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : HEBREWS chapter 8

Meditation : consider these words this morning about Jesus being the High Priest
What do they mean for you in your life on this Good Friday?
What encourages and challenges you this morning?

And then Pray in response – as God leads you
Pray with confidence to our God of mercy and forgiveness

Amen – we pray together on this particular day.

Midday

Pray God’s blessing on the Ferniehill Church family
Father God, hear our prayers, have mercy and bless them real good we ask.

Evening
Reading : read this chapter again this evening
Reflect on the words you have just read and pray in response

Lord Jesus, hear our evening prayers as we respond to these words
And bring a blessing to those in need of forgiveness we ask.
Amen.

Daily Reflection for Good Friday

You are encouraged – if you are able – to view the Daily Reflection on Good Friday before 12 noon and then to share with others at 12 noon in a prayer/exercise and at 3pm in a time of reflection, since we are sadly not able to gather with others at Gracemount High.

Both will be available on the Kirk website Blog as well as social media.

Thanks.
Alastair

Daily Devotions for April 9th, 2020

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Father God

Reading : JOHN 14 verses 1-7

Meditation : take time and carefully consider these words of Jesus.
Jesus – the way to the Father.
What do they mean for you?
How would you describe your relationship with Jesus at this time?

Then pray in response to the LORD as your day starts
Looking again at verses 6 and 7

(Pray your own words this morning to the LORD God……..)

In Jesus’ name. Amen and Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on the Gracemount Church family in theses days
Lord, hear our prayers and bless each and all real good we ask.
Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done in and through that Church

Evening
Reading : read these particular verses again from JOHN 14
Reflect on the words written here – and what God is saying to you now.
Pray in response to this God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit

O LORD, hear our evening prayers as this day closes
As we return our thanks to You.
As we humbly confess our sins
As we seek to know you more and more
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
