Thursday Evening Prayer with Others

As we journey through this week – with God – together – you may want to revisit today’s Daily Devotions from ROMANS chapter 2 verses 1-16

We PAUSE with the Lord in prayer

We REJOICE in the blessings He has given this day

We ASK for His presence, peace and strength – for ourselves and for others

We YIELD – say Yes – to His Kingdom ways for tomorrow

Daily Devotions for Thursday 20th January, 2022

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Father God

Reading : ROMANS 2 verses 1-16

Meditation : take time and consider this part of the Bible this morning.
God’s Judgment.
What do the words mean for you today?
What is your response to God’s Word this morning?

And then pray in response – as your day starts

Pray your own words to the LORD our God.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on the work of Christian Aid in 2022
Father God…hear our prayers and bless this work we ask.

Evening
Reading : read this passage again from ROMANS 2 verses 1-16
Reflect on the truths behind the words at the end of your day
and Pray in response to God – this God we believe and trust in

O LORD, hear our evening prayers
As we return our praise to you
For all your good gifts to us
Oh again we call out
In wrath, remember mercy!
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Pause to Pray for Others

On this particular Wednesday…as the nation and the world wrestles with the new variant and vaccine supplies…and other points of crisis and concern are before us in our nation and our world … you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to continue to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our community, in our nation and in our world – and for parts of the world in turmoil at this time

For family and friends and neighbours

For those who are anxious and fearful in our local community

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and world leaders at this time
