Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Father God

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on the work of OPEN DOORS in Vietnam
Lord, hear our prayers and bless each and all real good we ask.
Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done in that land

Evening
Reading : read these particular verses again from ACTS 12
Reflect on the words written here – and what God is saying to you now.
Pray in response to this God who is at work in our world

O LORD, hear our evening prayers as this day closes
As we return our thanks to You.
As we humbly confess our sins
As we lay all we are and have before You
As we name others before you this evening
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Pause to Pray with Others

On this particular Wednesday…as the nation journeys forward in this season of Lockdown.. you are invited to pause and pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus

For family and friends and neighbours

For all who are struggling with employment issues at this time

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and our national leaders at this time of decision making

The early believers at prayer.

Who are you praying for at this time?

And then pray in response – to this God of ours

O LORD our God,
We hear your call
We turn to you
Call us closer
In Jesus’ name,
Amen and amen!

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on the work of OPEN DOORS in UK and Ireland
LORD, hear our prayers and give blessing real good we ask.

Evening

Reading : read these set verses again from ACTS 4
Humbly reflect on what you read and then pray in response –
for yourself and for others

LORD God, Father God, hear our many different prayers
As we thank you for your call on our lives
As we name others in our family and church family before you.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
