Daily Devotions for Friday 24th June, 2022

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : ROMANS 8 verse 34

Meditation : take time and consider all that is said here about Christ Jesus.
What images or words stay with you?
What is God teaching/reminding you from His written Word?

And then Pray with words of Praise to this God of ours in response

Happy are those who have the God of Jacob to help them
and who depend on the LORD their God,
the Creator of heaven, earth, and sea,
and all that is in them.
He always keeps his promises;
He judges in favour of the oppressed
and gives food to the hungry

And so we bring our sacrifice of praise to you, our God Most High.

Thank you Father God for sending Jesus
Thank you Jesus that you came
O Holy Spirit ever teach us more and more
about this wonderful Person we believe in

Amen – we pray together.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on the Leprosy Mission Board members
Father God, hear our prayers and bless them real good we ask

Evening
Reading : read this verse again from ROMANS 8 verse 34
Reflect on the words written here and pray in response to the LORD our King.

Praise the LORD!
Praise the LORD, my soul
I will praise him as long as I live;
I will sing to my God all my life.

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Father God

Reading : ROMANS 8 verse 32

Meditation : take time and consider these words this morning.
God gave us His Son.
What do these words mean for you at this time?

Then pause to praise and pray to this gracious and mighty God

All your creatures, LORD, will praise you,
and all your people will give you thanks.
They will speak of the glory of your royal power
and tell of your might,
so that everyone will know your mighty deeds
and the glorious majesty of your kingdom.
Your rule is eternal,
and you are king forever.
The LORD is faithful to his promises;
he is merciful in all his acts.
He helps those who are in trouble;
he lifts those who have fallen.

And so we bring our sacrifice of praise to you, our God
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Pray God’s blessing on research work being done by Leprosy Mission at this time
God of grace…hear our prayers and pour a blessing we ask on this work

Evening
Reading : read these words again from ROMANS 8 verse 32
Reflect on the words and images – at the end of your day
and Pray with praise in response to this God – our God

People will speak of your mighty deeds,
and I will proclaim your greatness.
They will tell about all your goodness
and sing about your kindness.
The LORD is loving and merciful,
slow to become angry and full of constant love.
He is good to everyone
and has compassion on all he made.

O LORD, hear our evening prayers

Reading : ROMANS 8 verse 31

Meditation : take time to consider what truths these words teach us.
God is for us.
What are you encouraged and challenged by this morning?

Then take the time to Pray to this God, our God who helps.
Look again at the verse as you turn to prayer

I go to you for protection, LORD;
rescue me from my enemies.
You are my God;
teach me to do your will.
Be good to me, and guide me on a safe path.
Rescue me, LORD, as you have promised;
in your goodness save me from my troubles!

In Jesus’ Name
Amen!

O LORD God, have mercy on this work and hear our prayers this day we ask.
