On this particular Friday….Good Friday…as the nation journeys through this season of Lockdown.. you are invited to pause and pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus

For family and friends and neighbours

For all who are mourning the loss of a loved one at this time

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and our national leaders at this time of decision making

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the LORD God

Reading : EPHESIANS 1 verses 15-23

Meditation : take time to carefully consider these words of thanksgiving on this particular day

Take time out with God in Prayer in response – as God leads you
Giving thanks for Jesus – for the Cross – as well as for others today

O Father God,
Hear our prayers
On this Good Friday
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on OPEN DOORS at work in China at this time
O LORD God, have mercy on each and all and hear our prayers we ask.

Evening
Reading : read these words again from EPHESIANS 1
Reflect ….and then pray….for others as well as yourself

O LORD God, hear our prayers on this Good Friday
For we believe and trust in you, the Three in One
As we lay ourselves and others before You in Jesus’ name, Amen.

What is your response to this Jesus?

Pray to this God of ours in response
Including for others just starting on their journey following Jesus

O Father God
Thank you for sending Jesus
O Jesus
Thank you that you came
O Holy Spirit
Will you ever teach and help us

Amen – we pray together!

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on TEARFUND at work in South Sudan at this time
Father God, hear our prayers and bless them real good we ask

Evening
Reading : read this passage again from JOHN 14
Reflect on the words spoken here by Jesus and pray in response to this God of ours

Living LORD, hear our evening prayers and receive our praise
As we believe and trust in you
For the large and the small things in our lives
For the words of truth we have read
For the great hope we have in Christ Jesus!
And that there are others finding this out around the world in these days!
