Daily Devotions for December 25th, 2020 – CHRISTmas Day

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : REVELATION 11 verses 15-19

Meditation : take time and consider all that is said here today.
The Seventh Trumpet sounded!
What images or words stay with you?
What is your response to God’s Word on this particular day?

Pray to this God of ours in response
With songs of praise on this CHRISTMAS Day

“We give thanks to you, Lord God, the Almighty,
the one who is and who always was,
for now you have assumed your great power
and have begun to reign.
The nations were filled with wrath,
but now the time of your wrath has come.
It is time to judge the dead
and reward your servants the prophets,
as well as your holy people,
and all who fear your name,
from the least to the greatest.
It is time to destroy
all who have caused destruction on the earth.”

Midday
Pray with thanksgiving for the Gift of a Saviour to the world!
Father God, thank you thank you thank you!

Evening

A Call to Evening Prayer

As part of the Kirk’s rhythm of prayer and devotion we invite people to pause and pray each day.

We offer a Daily Devotions Bible reading each morning and a focus for midday prayer.

At this time in your Friday you are invited to pause and pray as the day closes.

You may wish to revisit MATTHEW 26.17-30 and consider what Jesus said here.
You may need to name others before Father God.
You may want to be still with God as you look back on your day.
