Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the LORD God

Reading : MATTHEW 24 verses 1-8

Troubles and Persecutions.
How does it encourage or challenge you this morning?
What is your response to God’s Word as you step into today?

Take time out with God in Prayer in response – as God leads you
Including praying for others in hard circumstances at this time

O Father God,
Hear our cry
Protect
Provide
Bless those we name before you
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Midday

Pray God’s blessing on the work of Open Doors in our world
O LORD God, have mercy on each and all and hear our prayers we ask.

Evening
Reading : read these words again from MATTHEW 24.1-8
Reflect ….and then pray….for others as well as yourself

O LORD our Eternal God, hear our prayers at this evening hour
As we lay ourselves and others and our world before You in Jesus’ name, Amen.

A Call to Evening Prayer

As part of the Kirk’s rhythm of prayer and devotion we invite people to pause and pray each day.

We offer a Daily Devotions Bible reading each morning and a focus for midday prayer.

At this time in your Friday you are invited to pause and pray as the day closes.

You may wish to revisit ISAIAH 9.6 and consider the Names for Jesus spoken of here.
You may need to name others before Father God.
You may want to be still with God as you look back on your day.

A Time to Pray with Others

At this time in your Friday and in these changing times you are invited to pause and pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus

For family and friends and neighbours

For those anxious about their mental health at this time

For NHS and Care Home staff in our city

For our country and our national leaders
