Daily Devotions for Monday 10th January, 2022

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : ROMANS chapter 10

Meditation : take the time to consider this particular passage this morning.
Anyone can be saved.
What is God saying to you this morning about Himself?
What is your response to God’s Word today?

Pray in response – to this God – as we yield to His Kingdom ways in our world

Pray your own words at the start of this day
Of praise and worship
Of confession and trust
Of need – for yourself and others
For others to know God in a personal relationship

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessings on the SEEPG cluster of churches in 2022
O LORD, have mercy on each and all we ask and pour rich blessings!

Evening
Reading : read ROMANS chapter 10 again prayerfully at the end of your day
Reflect….. and then pray in response to this God we believe in

LORD God, the LORD Almighty, hear my prayer this evening.
As I thank you for the blessings of this day
As I call out to you for others
As I lay myself and this world before you
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Sunday Evening Prayer with Others

As we step into a new week – with God – together – you may want to revisit today’s Daily Devotions from ROMANS chapter 9

We PAUSE with Him in prayer

We REJOICE in the blessings He has given this day

We ASK for His presence, peace and strength in 2022 – for ourselves and for others

We YIELD – say Yes – to His Kingdom ways for tomorrow

Pause to Pray for Others

On this particular Sunday…as the nation and the world wrestles with the new variant and vaccine supplies…and other points of crisis and concern… you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our community, in our nation and in our world – and for parts of the world in turmoil at this time

For family and friends and neighbours

For the Church in our world to be salt and light at this time

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and world leaders at this time

Thy Kingdom Come at Midday

As a Church we were part of the global prayer venture – Thy Kingdom Come.

This prayer continues around the world!

Each Sunday at Midday we will re-visit one of the 11 daily themes….and this time we revisit the youth videos.
This week it is PENTECOSE/THY KINGDOM COME – as we are encouraged to pray for the Kingdom of God to be evident on earth as it is in heaven.
