A Call to Evening Prayer Together

As your Sunday draws to a close, you are invited to pause and pray as we step into a new week

You may want to revisit the Daily Devotions for today – words from Hebrews 12 vs 25-29

You may need to name others before Father God

You may want to be still and receive from God the Holy Spirit

Pause to Pray for Others

On this last Sunday of the month…as the nation journeys forward out of this season of Lockdown.. you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus

For family and friends and neighbours

For Church leaders across the world

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and our national leaders at this time of decision making

Thy Kingdom Come at Midday

As a Church we were part of the global prayer venture – Thy Kingdom Come.

This prayer continues around the world!

Each Sunday at Midday we will re-visit one of the 11 daily themes.
This week it is JESUS – and those we long to see meet with Him and experience Kingdom living.

Daily Devotions for Sunday 30th May, 2021

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the Living God

Reading : HEBREWS 12 verses 25-29

Meditation : take time and consider this short passage on this Sunday morning.
What does it mean for you?
What is God teaching you about His Kingdom today?

And then pray in response

O God Eternal
Strong and sure
We bow before you
We believe in you
We trust in you
Thy Kingdom come
Thy will be done we call out
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Midday
Pray the Prayer for the Month as your own midday prayer

Our Father in Heaven
May your holy name be honoured
In our lives
In your Church

Our Father in Heaven
May your kingdom rule be seen
In our lives
In our community

Our Father in Heaven
May your will be done
In our lives
In our nation

Our Father in Heaven
May your kingdom come
May your will be done
In our world

In Jesus’ name
Amen
