Thy Kingdom Come #thanks

As a Church family we have been revisiting the 11 themes of the Thy Kingdom Come Prayer venture each Saturday morning.

This venture runs for the 11 days leading up to Pentecost and this year will be 21-31 May.

We will be continuing this through Saturdays in May at 12 noon and daily in the period 21st-31st.

Today we are encouraged to pause and pray – with words and songs of Thanks!

Give thanks with a grateful heart!

I will enter his gates with thanksgiving!

Thank God for who He is.
Thank Him for His faithfulness and love in this past week.
Thank Him for the gifts He has given you recently.
Thank Him for sending Jesus.

Daily Devotions for Saturday 2nd May, 2020

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus.

Reading : PSALM 37 verse 5

Meditation : take time to consider these particular words this Saturday morning.
What is God saying to you today from His Word?

Pray in response to the God of Psalm 37

O LORD
Our God
Gracious and faithful One,
Receive our praise
Hear our prayers
And keep us on the right path we ask
As you walk with us this Saturday
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Midday
Pray the Prayer for the Month as your midday prayer

Almighty God, sitting enthroned in the heavens, we praise you because you, our Father, are our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. In these days of constant change & uncertainty, thank you that you never change. May we live each day conscious of your love surrounding us and your power strengthening us.

We pray for our fellow believers, those here in Liberton, throughout our nation and all over the world. Let us stand shoulder to shoulder, encouraging one another in faith and upholding one another in prayer. May we carry your light to the people we meet and bring your peace and hope to those living in fear.

Lord Jesus, there will be no end to the increase of your government and peace. We pray that many would be drawn to you in these days, that they would seek and find the security that is only found in you. Let your Kingdom come, your will be done, here on earth as in heaven.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Evening
Reading : read this verse again from PSALM 37
Reflect prayerfully on the words ….. and then Pray in response to this God
Especially for others in need of having God’s help at this time

Spirit of the Living God, hear our evening prayers at the end of this day
And be with those we name before you.
In Jesus’ saving name, Amen.
