Thy Kingdom Come at Midday

As a Church we were part of the global prayer venture earlier this year – Thy Kingdom Come.

This prayer continues around the world as we pray for 5 people we know to meet with Jesus!

Each Sunday at Midday we will re-visit one of the 11 daily themes.
This week it is PRAY FOR – as we pause to offer our prayers for others in need known to us – and for our world at this time. ‘Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven’ O LORD our God!

Daily Devotions for Sunday 4th July, 2021

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit, on this Sunday

Reading : PSALM 9

Meditation : take time to consider this psalm today.
A Prayer of Thanksgiving.
What is God saying to you today from his Word?
What are you encouraged and challenged by?

Pray in response to what you have read and considered

Giving thanks for….and for…..

In Jesus’ name
Today this is my prayer

Midday
Pray the Prayer for the Month as your own midday prayer

O LORD God
God of David
And Asaph and Solomon
Hear us

O LORD God
In our valleys
And on our mountain tops
Hear us

O LORD God
With songs of praise
And cries for help
Hear us

In Jesus’ name
Amen

Evening
Reading : read PSALM 9 again as your day ends
Reflect on the truths beyond the words and then Pray to this God …our God
Including with thanksgiving for others known to you at this time

O Father, Son and Holy Spirit, hear our evening prayers
As we praise You for who You are
As we return our thanks to you for the blessings of this day.
As we name others in need before You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

As your first Saturday in July closes you are invited to pause and pray with others in our Church Family as we prepare to step into Sunday

As your Sunday closes you are invited to pause and pray with others in our Church Family as we prepare to step into a new week with God

T hanksgiving for the good gifts God has given today – to you and to others!

S upplication – asking for His help – for a certain situation or person

Pause to Pray for Others

On this last Sunday of the month…as the nation continues to journey forward out of Lockdown and wrestle with new cases and variants..along with other nations in our world…. you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our community, in our nation and in our world

For family and friends and neighbours

For the Church across the world

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and our national leaders at this time of decision making
