Pause to Pray for Others

On this Thursday in June…as the nation continues to slowly journey forward out of Lockdown and wrestles with new cases and variants..along with other nations in our world…. you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our community, in our nation and in our world

For family and friends and neighbours

For all those anxious and fearful across the world at this time

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and our national leaders at this time of decision making

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Father God

Reading : LAMENTATIONS chapter 5

Meditation : take time and consider this part of the Bible this morning.
A Prayer for Mercy.
What do the words mean for you today?
Who do you know in need of God’s mercy and help?

And then pray in response to what you have read

Pray your own words to the LORD God
For yourself and for others

Pray God’s blessing on the Artisans Group in our church
Father God…hear our prayers and bless them each and all we ask.

Evening
Reading : read this passage again from LAMENTATIONS 5
Reflect on this prayer for mercy at the end of your day
and Pray in response to God – for His merciful help

O LORD, hear our evening prayers
As we return our thanks to you
For those you have shown mercy to
Even today
Oh be near those crying out for help we ask

In worship and thanks for what you have read,
In confession and need to be more like Jesus,
And for others known to you at this time in a hard place.

O LORD our God
