A Call to Pray with Others

At this time in your Thursday and in these changing times you are invited to pause and pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus

For family and friends and colleagues

For all who live outside of the central belt in our land

For NHS and Care Home staff in our city

For our country and our national leaders at this time

Jesus is Immanuel = God with us
What do these words mean for you in your life – even today?

Then pray in response to the LORD as your day starts
Praying to this God who is with us

Pray your own words this morning to the LORD God……Immanuel.

In Jesus’ name. Amen and Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those doubting God’s nearness at this time
Lord, hear our prayers and bless each and all real good we ask.

Evening

Reading : read these particular words again from MATTHEW 1.23
Reflect on what is said here – and what God is saying to you now.
Pray in response to this God who sent Jesus into our world

O LORD, hear our evening prayers as this day closes
As we return our thanks to You for this day.
As we thank you for sending Jesus
As we name others far from you at this time
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
