Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : ACTS 13 verses 1-3

Meditation : consider these three verses this morning.
What do they teach you about Prayer in the life of the Church? Our Church?

And then Pray in response – as God leads you
Pray with confidence to our God to use us as He chooses

Amen – we pray together.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on the work of OPEN DOORS in Somalia
Father God, hear our prayers, have mercy and bless them real good we ask.

Evening
Reading : read this short passage again from ACTS 13
Reflect on the words you have just read and pray in response

Lord Jesus, hear our evening prayers as we respond to these words
Send your Church in our city, in our nation, in our world
As you see best.
And bring a blessing to those in need this evening we ask.
Amen.

Pause to Pray with Others

On this particular Thursday…as the nation journeys forward in this season of Lockdown.. you are invited to pause and pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus

For family and friends

For all who are struggling with health issues at this time

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and our national leaders at this time of decision making

Meditation : take time and carefully consider these words this morning.
What do they tell you about Prayer?

Then pray in response to the LORD as your day starts

Pray your own words this morning to the LORD God as you come near to Him……..

In Jesus’ name. Amen and Amen.

Pray God’s blessing on the work of OPEN DOORS in Vietnam
Lord, hear our prayers and bless each and all real good we ask.
Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done in that land

Evening
Reading : read these particular verses again from ACTS 12
Reflect on the words written here – and what God is saying to you now.
Pray in response to this God who is at work in our world

O LORD, hear our evening prayers as this day closes
As we return our thanks to You.
As we humbly confess our sins
As we lay all we are and have before You
As we name others before you this evening
