Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : NUMBERS 6 verses 22-27

Meditation : consider these words this morning.
The God of Blessing.
What do they mean for you in your life?

And then Pray in response – as God leads you
Pray with confidence to our God to bless others known to us

Amen – we pray together.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on our City Council at this time of the year
Father God, hear our prayers, have mercy and bless them real good we ask.

Evening
Reading : read this passage again from NUMBERS 6
Reflect on the words you have just read and pray in response

Lord Jesus, hear our evening prayers as we respond to these words
And bring a blessing to those in need this evening we ask.
Amen.

Pause to Pray with Others

On this particular Thursday..as the nation is in a further stage of Lockdown.. you are invited to pause and pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus

For family and friends and neighbours

For all anxious about their jobs in our city at this time

For NHS and Care Home staff in our city

For our country and our national leaders at this time of decision making

Reading : EXODUS 20 verses 1-21

Meditation : take time and carefully consider these familiar words.
What is God saying to you today about Himself from His Word?

Then pray in response to the LORD as your day starts
Looking again at verses 20 and 21

Pray your own words this morning to the LORD God as you come near to Him……..

In Jesus’ name. Amen and Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those wrestling with decisions at this time
Lord, hear our prayers and bless each and all real good we ask.
Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done

Evening
Reading : read these particular verses again from EXODUS 20
Reflect on the words written here – and what God is saying to you now.
Pray in response to this God who is the Living and True One

O LORD, hear our evening prayers as this day closes
As we return our thanks to You.
As we humbly confess our sins
As we lay all we are and have before You
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
