Pause to Pray with Others

On this particular Friday…as the nation journeys forward out of this season of Lockdown.. you are invited to pause and pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus

For family and friends

For the provision of vaccines across the world at this time

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and our national leaders at this time of decision making

Thy Kingdom Come at Midday

You are invited to pause at this time in your day and reflect on the daily video from Thy Kingdom Come

A Prayer from TKC
Faithful God, help me to understand myself, so that even in the most difficult times I may know your presence with me and may sing your praises, defiantly praising your goodness even when there is so much that is wrong. And today, help me show others the good things I receive in Christ and show the world His way.
Amen!

Daily Devotions for Friday 14th May, 2021

Christian Aid Week

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus
‘Thy Kingdom Come’

Reading : PSALM 103

Meditation : take time to consider the theme of PRAISE today.
What are your words of praise this morning?

Then take time to Pray and Praise this God of ours
For who He is
For His good gifts

In Jesus’ name.
Amen and Amen – we pray together.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on worship leaders in our churches
Father God, hear our prayers, have mercy and pour out blessings we ask

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from PSALM 103
Reflect on the way God has blessed you in your life
and pray in response to Him – with praise

LORD God, the God of amazing grace, our God,
Hear our evening prayers
As we return our sacrifice of praise for who you are
As we bring ourselves to you at the end of this day.
And as we name others before You.
Amen.
