‘O LORD, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth!’
What does this mean for you?

And then Pray in response to what you have read
Taking time to pray with praise for who God is

Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
Our LORD and God
Receive our sacrifice of praise
For who you are
And
For the majesty of your name
In Jesus’ name.
Amen.

Midday
Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day
…..and respond to His voice….
Father God…thank you.

Evening
Reading : read the verse again from PSALM 8
Reflect prayerfully on these words…. And then pray as your day closes

LORD God, our great God,
For all of today
I thank You,
Even for those things that have caused me fear and concern.
Help me to trust in you
And know the majesty of your name
As I wait for tomorrow.
As I look around at this world
In these days.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Midday
Pray the Prayer for the Month as your own Midday Prayer

Heavenly Father — You know us better than we know ourselves.
We are conscious of our own limitations, and the weakness of our faith and witness.
Give us your Strength and Power –
show us how to find the right way – in the footsteps of your Son.
Let the re-assurance of your forgiveness be with us always.
We think of your promises given to your people over the ages — to Abraham — to David –
to Solomon — to the Virgin Mary — to the Apostles and Saints– and to us in our generation.
Help us to live out these Promises, with the help of your Holy Spirit.
Enable us to follow in the path of our Saviour, your Son Jesus Christ.
Make us more fully able to love You, to love our neighbours, and to love ourselves in due measure.
Give life in all its fullness, to our communities and to us,
so that in this way we may be agents in the advancement of your Kirk, in our World.
AMEN

Evening
Reading : read Psalm 119 v 119 again as your day ends

Reflect on the truths beyond the words and then Pray to this God …our God
Including for others known to you in need at this time

O Father, Son and Holy Spirit, hear our evening prayers
As we praise You for who You are
As we return our thanks to you for the blessings of this Sunday.
As we name others in need before You.
As we step into a new week with you
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thy Kingdom Come #silence

As a Church we took part in the global prayer venture of Thy Kingdom Come earlier this year.
This ran during the 11 days between Ascension and Pentecost….many weeks and months ago now!

Each Saturday at 12 noon we are continuing to ask and seek and knock on Heaven’s door…..’Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done’…..and to pray for up to 5 people we know to meet with Jesus and to experience God’s Kingdom reign in their lives.

This week we focus on the theme of SILENCE as we pause to pray with others.

It may seem a strange thing to do at this time but we are invited to spend time with the LORD our God….being still with Him at this time…..listening….hearing….receiving.
You may find it helpful to pause and read 1 KINGS 19 vs 1-13 as you turn to Prayer.

Invite the Holy Spirit to slow you down

Ask Him to help you hear what God is saying to you…in these days

Receive His gifts

Thank Him
