Daily Devotions for Thursday 22nd April, 2021

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Father God

Reading : COLOSSIANS 1 verses 3-14

Meditation : take time and consider this opening part of Paul’s letter this morning.
Prayer of thanksgiving.
What does it mean for you today?

And then pray in response – as your day starts
including for others recently blessed by God

(Pray your own words to the LORD God.)

O LORD,
God of compassion,
Have mercy we ask and hear our prayers
For others
For family
For neighbours and colleagues
For ourselves
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on OPEN DOORS at work in India
Father God…hear our prayers and bless them each and all we ask.

Evening
Reading : read this passage again from COLOSSIANS 1
Reflect on the words of thanksgiving at the end of your day
and Pray in response to God – our God of blessing

O LORD, hear our evening prayers
As we return our thanks to you
For those you have blessed in their lives
Even today
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A Call to Thursday Evening Prayer

You are invited to pause and pray at this time in your day

You may want to revisit the Daily Devotions for today – and consider again 2 CORINTHIANS 1 vs 3-11

You may want to be still with God as you look back on your day

For all who live in your street or housing complex at this time
