Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Three in One

Reading : ROMANS 6 verse 23

Meditation : prayerfully consider these words this morning
Wages of Sin.
God’s free gift.
What words stays with you?
What is your response to God’s Word today?

Then pray in response to this God of ours
Praying honestly…..humbly……

In Jesus’ name
Amen and amen

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on the government of Somalia
O LORD, hear our prayers and bless this land real good we ask.

Evening
Reading : read the closing verse again from ROMANS 6
Reflect on the words you read and then pray in response

LORD God, merciful God, our God, hear our evening prayers
As we pause in your presence
As we confess our sins
As we receive from you forgiveness and cleansing
As we name others before you
In Jesus’ name, Amen

As we journey through this week – with God – together – you may want to revisit today’s Daily Devotions from ROMANS 6 verse 6 – as we continue to consider the GOOD NEWS about Jesus through 2022

We PAUSE with the Lord in prayer as the day closes

We REJOICE in the blessings He has given this day – to us and to others

We YIELD – say Yes – to His Kingdom ways for tomorrow

Meditation : consider all that is said here as your day starts.
No longer slaves of sin.
What is your response to God’s written Word today?
Is there a prayer of thanks and of help on your lips?

Then turn to pray to God in response

O LORD our God,
Thank you for all these words
And all they teach me.
Receive my sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving
And help me I cry out
In my struggle with sin
In Jesus’ name, Amen

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on the government of North Korea
O LORD, give blessing and hear our prayers we ask this day.

Evening
Reading : read this verse again from ROMANS 6
Reflect on the words you have read and then pray in response – to this God, our God

LORD God, our God,
God who deserves our thanks
Hear the evening prayers of your people
For we are indeed in need of rescue from this world

The God who raised Jesus from death.
The God we believe and trust in.

Hear our morning prayers
Of thanks
Of trusting
Of asking
In Jesus’ name,

Pray God’s blessing on the government of Afghanistan
LORD, hear our prayers and have mercy we ask.

for yourself and for others seeking God’s help and power at this time
