Pause to Pray for Others

On this Friday in Lent…as the nation and the world wrestles with the crisis in Ukraine – a major concern before us at this time… you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to continue to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our community, in our nation and in our world, where many are still waiting for vaccine supplies – and for all those in need on our Church Prayer List at this time – and for parts of the world in turmoil at this time

For family and friends and neighbours affected by the coronavirus

For the leaders of Russia, Ukraine and the surrounding countries at this time

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For those who are feeling anxious about health matters at this time

Daily Devotions for Friday 8th April, 2022

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : LEVITICUS 26 verses 14-46

Meditation : take time to consider these verses this morning.
Punishment for Disobedience
What are you encouraged and challenged by today?
What words stay with you?

Then take time to Pray to this God of ours
With honest humility

In Jesus’ name.
Amen and Amen – we pray together.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on Janet McKenzie, as she serves at Gilmerton Hub/Tron
Father God, hear our prayers, have mercy and pour out blessings we ask

Evening

Reading : read these verses again from LEVITICUIS 26
Reflect on the way God has blessed you in your life
and pray in response to Him
and for others known to you in need at this time

LORD God, the God of truth and forgiveness
Our God,
Hear our evening prayers
As we return our sacrifice of praise for who you are
And your help even this day
As we bring ourselves to you at the end of this day.
As we name others before You.
Amen.
