Reading : JEREMIAH 20 verses 7-18

Meditation : take time to consider these verses this morning.
Jeremiah Complains to the LORD
What is God saying to you from His Word?
Do you have a prayer of complaint this morning?

And then Pray in response – looking again at verse 11
God is on your side!

O LORD Almighty
Hear my morning prayer
And have mercy
As I lay myself
And this day
Before you
In Jesus’ name.
Amen

Midday
Pray the Prayer for the Month as your midday prayer

O God of Isaiah
Holy Holy Holy
Is your name
In our midst

O God of Ezekiel
Spirit at work
All around
In our lives

O God of Jonah
Forgive us
When we your people
Get it wrong

Have mercy
Show compassion
In Jesus’ name
Amen


Evening

Reading : read these verses again from JEREMIAH 20 at the end of your day
Reflect on these words as you look back over the day and then Pray in response

LORD God, our Almighty God, hear our prayers this evening
As we return our sacrifice of praise to You
And trust you for tomorrow
Have mercy on those we name before you
And on our world at this time
We ask in Jesus’ name.
Amen.

Then take time to Pray to this God of ours
For yourself and for others in need known to you

In Jesus’ name.
Amen and Amen – we pray together.

Pray God’s blessing on our Session Clerk, Chris Brandie, and his family
Father God, hear our prayers, have mercy and pour out blessings we ask

Evening

Reflect on the way God has helped you in your life
and pray in response to Him – with praise
and for others known to you in need at this time

LORD God, the God who Helps, our God,
Hear our evening prayers
As we return our sacrifice of praise for who you are
As we bring ourselves to you at the end of this day.

On this Thursday in June…as the nation continues to journey forward out of this season of Lockdown.. you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our community, in our nation and in our world

For family and friends and neighbours

For all those suffering and mourning across the world as a result of this virus and its variants

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and our national leaders at this time of decision making
